This is a tutorial on how to jailbreak iOS version 5.0. This jailbreak works for all devices that can run iOS 5except the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. Hopefully the jailbreaks for those are coming soon, but be sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to be updated as soon as the jailbreak for those devices is out.
NOTE: This jailbreak is tethered, so you will have to run Redsn0w again after the jailbreak is completed before you can use your device.

Redsn0w 0.9.9b8 (link)
The correct 5.0 firmware for your device (link)
Instructions
1. Open Redsn0w so you are looking at this screen:
2. Select “Extras”
3. Click “Select IPSW and choose your iOS 5.0 firmware for your device
4. Return to the main screen, and select “Jailbreak”5. Follow the on-screen directions to put your device into DFU mode
6. Wait for Redsn0w to complete the process of jailbreaking your deviceNEXT STEPS ARE IMPORTANT
7. Go back to the main screen and select “Extras”, the click “Just boot”
8. Follow the directions again to go into DFU mode
9. You’re done!
